“Ancoeur Wellness was recommended to me by my doula, and I just wish I had started PT with Nancy before childbirth. After a traumatic labor that left me emotionally vulnerable and very much doubting that my body was “made” for childbirth, Nancy gave me the guidance and confidence I needed to get myself back under the bar. Over the nine months since labor, she has taught me, a self-trained athlete, how to slow down and prioritize the mechanics of a movement over muscling through just for the sake of it. Most importantly, she’s been an invaluable expert/pelvic floor mentor as I navigate the process of being diagnosed with POP, learning what the heck POP is (because no-one seems to talk about this common condition!), and incorporating the diagnosis into my recovery routine and daily life.

I walked 2 miles with my daughter in a hiking backpack yesterday, symptom-free but full of gratitude and pride. Not every day will be symptom-free but, because of all that Nancy has taught me, I have the physical therapy and mental tools I need to adapt. Nancy is the PT we all deserve in our pregnancy/postpartum/female lives. She is crazy-good at what she does, can listen with the best of them, and has a level of compassion and patience that is basically unrivaled among the women’s health professionals I’ve encountered. Thank you, Nancy, for helping me become this version of myself!“ ~KD

“Renee, I’m so grateful for the help you’ve given me and I’m beginning to feel stronger in my running and posture already! I’ve also recommended you to several of my co-workers for their postpartum care because I believe in the work you are doing.” ~LV

“I went for a run tonight. I did longer intervals (600-800 meters at a time) and I felt great! No symptoms!! It was the first time running postpartum that I’ve felt “normal”. I can’t thank Nancy enough for all the help and and guidance she has given me. Reflecting on 2019, I’m grateful to have found such a great person to help me with this difficult journey.” ~ST

I recently finished my time working with Ancoeur Wellness. I am thrilled with my progress. I was tentative at first but was struggling after giving birth to my second daughter. I met with Renee and told her my concerns. She worked with me… and made sure I was always comfortable. She worked with my schedule, checked in on me when we couldn’t meet, and ultimately helped me recover faster than I anticipated. I was thrilled with her communication and overall really enjoyed working with Renee. I would recommend Ancoeur Wellness to anyone with pelvic floor issues. ~MB

“I cannot believe the amount of pain reduction I got after just one session with Renee. Specifically in regards to painful intercourse, her tissue work has greatly reduced the pain I was having. I would say that it has improved by at least 60%. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this. It is such a relief and has a massive impact on my overall wellbeing, as well as the health of my relationship with my husband. Seriously, she is such a gift.” ~DS

“I highly recommend Dr. Nancy Boyd. She helped me a lot with my lower back pain. I felt better immediately after the first treatment.
Thank you very much for your professional and loving work!” ~EP

I highly highly recommend Ancoeur Wellness! Renee worked with me postpartum baby #2 to eliminate the hip pain I’d had for nearly a year and within a few weeks, I was pain-free. I met with her virtually, which was amazing because I didn’t have to worry about childcare and after she’d email the simple exercises and stretches that we had gone over in the call. In the 3 years since then, I have worked with Renee through 2 more pregnancies and postpartum to relieve pain, heal my pelvic floor, and stay active doing the activities I love. She made me realize that just because I’m a mom, I don’t have to settle for the postpartum mom side effects that are common and I had been told was ‘just the way your body is now’. It always amazes me how much she can tell me about my body and movements via video, as we live 1000 miles apart, and the help she provided is always personalized and up to date with the latest recommendations and knowledge surrounding women’s bodies. ~RP

“I highly recommend Dr. Nancy Boyd! She helped me significantly with continuing to run throughout my pregnancy, and helped me return to running postpartum. She addressed all of my concerns, and is very knowledgable and empowering. I always left every treatment confident that I would be able to get back to my previous levels of running.” ~HD

“This physical therapy experience was SO different. I had seen other pelvic floor physical therapists and physical therapists before and didn't realize that THIS kind of care even existed. Nancy spent time looking at how everything is connected and helped me finally heal. It changed my life.
She goes above and beyond with care and communicates through email and answers questions even after the appointment is over. I would encourage you to book an appointment; it could just be the missing piece to help your injury or pain that might seem hopeless at the moment.” ~LR

“As a female long-distance runner for a Division I university team, I was surprised that athletic medicine didn’t place a higher emphasis on women’s menstrual health. On our team, it was normal to miss menstrual cycles, especially during peak training months. Having worked with Renee previously, I knew to rely on my natural cycle as an indicator of my physical health. I don’t believe it’s coincidence that I rarely missed a cycle, and was one of the only athletes to avoid bone stress injuries.” ~CB

“After having my first child 4 months ago, I got back to CrossFit at about 8 weeks postpartum after being cleared by my doctor. It quickly became clear that I needed help healing my pelvic floor since I was experiencing some uncomfortable symptoms that I didn’t have before like leaking during higher impact movements and a sore lower back after lifting. Luckily, I found Nancy through a pregnant and postpartum athlete group I am in on Facebook and she came highly recommended. I was told she really understood the full picture when it came to Crossfit and the pelvic floor, and I couldn’t agree more! Lucky for me, Nancy was able to do a virtual session and the hour we spent together was one of the most valuable hours I’ve ever spent! Just one day after meeting with Nancy, I was able to reduce the urge to urinate during higher impact movement and completely avoid leaking. Now just 1.5 weeks later, I already feel so much stronger from implementing the techniques and exercises Nancy suggested. I am so grateful & happy I reached out to Nancy. I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel and that I’ll soon be able to get back to all the higher impact movements that started to create symptoms for me! I am so happy, I’ve been highly recommending all the ladies at my gym who “leak” to go see Nancy as well! ~HF

“Nancy Boyd is a great PT. She's very knowledgeable and is always pursuing new certifications. I saw her after I had a pretty bad soft tissue back injury during pregnancy. She worked with me for the better part of a year to not only recover from that injury, but to build up underlying strength to prevent the injury from happening again. I am stronger and more stable thanks to her.
This is one of the most important things about Nancy: she is very body positive. As a heavy person, I never once felt that she didn't believe in my body's ability to be strong, be healthy, and recover. Just because she herself is an athlete, she doesn't expect her patients to be. I owe a great deal to Nancy and her intuitive approach to treatment. Highly recommend.” ~BA.
